Questions and answers

Can I learn for free?
Some basic courses are free and you can study without paying. But this option doesn't include the great features outline above.

How will teachers help me?
Teachers answer all the questions you might have during your studies and help you solve problems. Optionally, extended plan members can get up to 5 code reviews from their teacher per month.

What are monthly Skype sessions with teachers?
We just talk about whatever's on your mind. Need help understanding something? Need an advice on a job offer? Confused? Want some feedback on your project, code, or anything else? It's just a nice talk over some coffee, basically. Feel free to ask whatever.

How can I pay?
We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards. Card's currency doesn't matter: your bank will automatically convert from US dollars.

My card is rejected. What do I do?
The fastest way to resolve this is to call your bank, they will know exactly what's wrong. Sometimes they block unusual internet transactions. Unfortunately, they don't tell us what went wrong.

Do you accept Maestro cards?
Unfortunately, no, Maestro cards are not accepted. We can only process Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards.

How do you process payments? Is it safe?
We use Stripe, it's a big payment processor used by Kickstarter, Udacity, TED, Digital Ocean and others. Hexlet never saves your banking info and card numbers. All your data is always transferred encrypted.
